Machi Miyamoto
  • 1990 Born in Akita, Japan
  • 2013 BFA with Honors, Major in Japanese Painting, Musashino Art University, Tokyo
  • 2015 MFA with Honors, Major in Japanese Painting, Musashino Art University, Tokyo

For my theme I have chosen the wedding dress,
or the significance of motherhood,femininity, and life associated with it.

The fierce vitality covered by the dress makes the fabric pulsate, while the realm of nature and animals emerge in ambiguous form; inside the cloth a breath of life can be felt.
